Where it all started:

A lifelong connection that led me here:
I've been deeply connected to animals of all kinds for as long as I can remember.
As a child, I was the one rescuing bugs from sidewalks, making little homes for stray animals, stopping to watch wildlife, and reading every lost-pet poster I passed. Whether it had fur, feathers, scales, hooves, wings, or six legs, I was fascinated by animals and always felt there was something deeper between them and me, even though I didn't have the words to explain it.
My love for animals has always extended far beyond the traditional companions we share our homes with. I’ve always been drawn to the unique personalities, quirks, and presence of any and all animals. From dogs and cats to horses, farm animals, wildlife, and even the tiny creatures others might simply pass by.
That connection became especially meaningful when I found my soul dog, Jema, a rescued Old English Sheepdog who was, and still is, the love of my life. Losing her changed me in ways I never expected.
Although she was no longer physically beside me, I continued to feel her presence. I wanted to understand where she had gone, whether she was okay, and whether the connection we shared could somehow continue beyond her physical life.
That search led me to animal communication.

The Beginning of the Journey:
I began having sessions with animal communicators, initially out of curiosity and with some skepticism. But they shared details about Jema, our relationship, and experiences we had together that they simply could not have known.
I, of course, went down the rabbit hole from there.
I needed to understand how this was possible. The more I learned, the more I began to wonder: Was animal communication something reserved for a select few, or was it something we are all capable of tapping into when we quiet the noise, trust our intuition, and open ourselves to forms of communication we may have been taught to dismiss?
That question eventually led me on a journey of my own.
Learning animal communication has been one of the most magical, wonderfully weird, and deeply healing experiences of my life. It brought comfort to my grief and opened my mind to the possibility that love and connection don’t necessarily end when an animal leaves their physical body.

Where I Am Today:
I'm continuing to learn, practice, and strengthen my abilities as an animal communicator.
I connect with animals both living and in spirit, regardless of species or how long they have been in spirit. Whether your companion is a dog, cat, horse, bird, reptile, wildlife, or another animal entirely, I believe every animal has a unique voice and perspective worth listening to.
There are no limitations based on species, distance, or how long an animal has been gone. Each connection is approached with the same openness, curiosity, and compassion.
I don't claim to have all the answers, and I don't believe every communication will look or feel the same. Animals communicate in their own unique ways, and sometimes what they share may be literal, emotional, visual, symbolic, or something that doesn't immediately make sense.
That's part of what makes this work so fascinating.
I approach every connection with curiosity, compassion, and an open mind. I'm committed to listening as clearly as I can, sharing what I receive honestly, and continuing to learn from every animal I have the privilege of connecting with.
Why MaKayla Connects Exists:
Today, my mission is to create a bridge between animals and the people who love them. Whether you're looking for answers, reassurance, a deeper understanding of your animal, or simply hoping for one more conversation with a beloved companion who has passed, I'm here to listen.
Jema is the reason I started searching for answers. She became part of the reason I found my way here.
And now, I hope to help you find a little more connection, understanding, and love with the animals who mean the world to you.
